I’m Dumbfounded!

I WAS ON A ZOOM CALL when I heard a knock at my door. I ended the call, opened the door and was greeted by this friendly guy bringing our grocery order. It was the first time he’d been here and he remarked on the beautiful location on the mountain.

The Holy Spirit had given me a word earlier when I asked Him for something for whoever would be knocking on my door. I shared that word with him – it was literally one word – and then began to interpret what it meant. He was a bit taken aback as I was just talking to him and prophesying like it was the most ‘normal’ thing to do. Well, it is for me, but it obviously wasn’t for him!

He was intrigued and said he’d never even thought about God, but wanted to know more so I shared some of the amazing stories from the Classes and Miracle Cafés including the healings. He then told me that he was in need of healing too.

He explained that 20 years ago, when he was a builder, huge wooden trusses fell from roof height and caught the base of his spine. He was within inches of being killed. He’d been rushed to hospital and they discovered that two of his vertebrae were smashed. He was forced to spend an uncomfortable 18 months in a brace until the bones healed. He told me that he was still in constant pain, 20 years on – about 4 out of 10 on the pain scale – and each morning it would take him ten minutes to straighten up, his back was so stiff.

He turned away from me as he pointed to his spine – I reached out my hand, released the power of Jesus and spoke out a creative miracle – two new vertebrae and discs and tissue in the right places and no more stiffness.

He felt the power of God so strongly that he literally couldn’t speak for what seemed like ages. It was like he was in a daze! He was so shocked that it took him a while to tell me the pain had instantly left when I prayed. We just stood there for quite some time, neither of us speaking, just enjoying the presence of Jesus, with him shaking his head. Unbelievably, he was on my doorstep for a full 30 minutes, rooted to the spot. He let me take this photo.

I asked if he had any questions as he was still speechless; all he could manage was “I’m dumbfounded.” I began to share how God had brought him here today and wanted to reveal to him that He was real and loved him. He couldn’t take it in, but when I explained it was a bit like the Matrix movies – how the enemy blinds our minds with like a veil, he got it. I said that Jesus was removing that veil so he could know Him.

I shared how Jesus gave up everything for him. Then I asked if he was ready to give up all and follow Jesus. He still found it difficult to speak but managed to say, “You know, I think I am.”

He then bent down with no pain or stiffness, picked up the grocery crates and off he went to do business with God.

I want to encourage you to share Jesus with those you meet. If you know you’re going to be seeing someone, then how about asking the Holy Spirit to show you something about them before you meet? Then follow the way of love and share it with them, but be ready to step outside of your comfort zone. I do this all the time, but it’s always challenging!

Think about how what you say to them could transform their life, rather than how foolish or uncomfortable you may feel – I find that always helps! And if you’d like more training in this, a safe place to practice and a supportive community to cheer you on, then we’d love you to join us at SpiritLifestyle.com
